They have been learning how to think critically about the media they consume—recognizing bias, identifying credible sources, and understanding the monetary incentive media companies have to keep audiences engaged. Students also examined how social media algorithms often prioritize content that sparks strong emotions, which can result in sensationalized stories, spin, and even increased polarization.
The classes also discussed the impact of today’s media environment on our democracy and how it shapes public opinion and civic engagement.
👩🎓👨🎓 These conversations are helping students grow into thoughtful, informed citizens who can navigate the complex media landscape with confidence.

Students in Mr. Ames’ English class didn’t just read poetry today—they experienced it! 📝 Mr. Ames shared that to truly learn rhythm in poetry, it helps to move—put your body in rhythm.
To start, students watched a short video of Michael Jordan and broke down the poem by Hanif Abdurraqib, “It Is Maybe Time to Admit that Michael Jordan Definitely Pushed Off.” From there, they headed outside for a walking practice activity, putting rhythm into motion. 🚶♂️🚶♀️
Hands-on experiences like these make learning both engaging and memorable—way to go, Bulldogs! 💜💛

If you’re attending the Junior High Girls Volleyball game at Waynesfield tonight (8/28/25), please enter the building through the doors labeled W2. The game begins at 5:30 PM.

Tomorrow is the first day of school at Ada Exempted Village Schools, and we can’t wait to see our students back in the classrooms, hallways, and on the buses! 💜💛
A few quick reminders for a smooth first day:
✅ Allow extra time in the morning for drop-off and bus stops 🚸
✅ Be patient in the parking lots and school zones 🚗
✅ Give our bus drivers a wave and keep an eye out for children at stops 🚌
✅ Most importantly — bring your Bulldog spirit and a smile 😃🐾
Let’s make 2025–2026 a year full of learning, growth, and success. Welcome back, Bulldogs — let’s have a great first day!
#GoBulldogs #AdaSchools #FirstDay2025 #BackToSchool

We’re excited to welcome our Bulldogs back to school tomorrow, and we want to remind parents/guardians and students of a few important school bus safety tips:
✅ Arrive at your bus stop 5 minutes early
✅ Always wait at your assigned stop and stay 10 feet back from the curb
✅ Use the handrail when getting on/off the bus
✅ Cross in front of the bus only when the driver signals
✅ Stay seated, keep aisles clear, and follow the driver’s instructions
Remember: the “danger zone” is the 10 feet around the bus—students should avoid this area for their safety.
Thank you for working with us to keep our students safe as we kick off another great school year. 💛🐾💜
