Lt. Governor Husted presented Apollo Career Center 1.1 million dollars in CTE funds through a grant collaboratively written with Ada Exempted Village Schools and Allen East Schools. Ada will use their portion of the grant to expand the Agribusiness & Production Systems program and to create a new Advanced Manufacturing Program. Additionally, the robotics program will be expanded in the 7th and 8th grade. Existing classroom space will be transformed into a STEM lab where the new programs will be housed. The grant also funds state of the art equipment such as laser cutters/engravers, miller welders, and Festo Advanced Manufacturing Training Modules and equipment.

🚨 False Alarm: September 19th 🚨
At approximately 2:45 PM today, a smoke detector in the old building, specifically the 1971 gymnasium, was triggered, prompting an immediate evacuation of our central office, gymnasiums, and preschools.
The cause of the alarm was identified as construction crews sweeping up concrete dust from the recent air conditioning project and it was confirmed as a false alarm. Everyone was safe, and there was no danger at any time. Fire and EMS were notified and instructed to disregard the alarm, as the situation was a non-emergency.
